Kaplin I.V., Gavrilov S.V., Sviridov A.V., Kaplin E.I. (AO TsKB Korall, RF, Sevastopol)

This paper addresses key technical solutions concerning energy efficiency of oil and gas offshore installations. The guidelines target front-end engineering design and are set to comply with Provisions on technical design documents and their content approved by a Russian government Ruling 87 dated 16 February 2008. The authors highlight an offshore oil and gas installation energy efficiency concept and describe packaged project solutions mainly focused on heat conservation. The entire paper aims to deliver the oil and gas industry the viable information concerning current experience with upstream project energy efficiency solutions in this area. These technical innovations are presently under implementation into current oil and gas projects focused on Russian Arctic offshore.
